I really love this! I love the main synth used and the playfulness with it throughout the track, like goi g up and down the scale and different rhythms. I wish you used the same playfulness with the piano and made the melody a bit more interesting. Good work!!!!

Chemiqals responds:

Thank you so much! I definitely want to work on my melodies a lot for my next song =P

Really liked the chord progression and synth work, I liked how the track had unexpected sections, I wasnt a fan of the plucked bass sound in the intro and I feel the snare lacked character which is essential in dnb!! Maybe better EQing and compression could help. I also loved the way you programmed lots of different drum pattern rather then just looping one. Good job man!

Chemiqals responds:

Thanks for the feedback! I definitely want to revisit DnB now that I have a slightly better grasp of EQing and effects! I'm glad you liked it too! =D

I like the track but you should reupload it with the lead LFO synth kept in the centre of the mix. Hard panning a bassy sound like that makes it awkward to listen to!

ryanmorgan89 responds:

ya i forgot to check the mix in my headphones lol that is not supposed to be like that, must a slipped!

Those are some funky lead riffs!

the mix is good and a good use of different kicks, though I think a more interesting bass would be better rather than sticking to square and saw waves. The tempo changes were very well executed. Overall well done!

razorV responds:

Thanks for your review, but i made that song a long time ago, maybe you should listen to some of my newer stuff on Youtube or Soundcloud https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCewUEbE-fLukB_de6orEMLQ

The basslines are funky and the mix is perfect, well done!

Love the intro, the sub and kick really gel well together and theres some interesting synth work going on after the drop! I would advise maybe changing the snares reverb size to small when it drops to give your bass sounds more room to breath, making your drums more punchy too but overall well done!!

RufusTheMighty responds:

Thanks for the feedback. The song was a request of a friend a long time ago (maybe 4 years) and I wasn't very into the dubstep/DnB thing so I can't say I'm the best at it lol
It's the only song I made like that and really ever plan to make :P

that pad is so nice, I wish the drums had a bit more character though, I can only really hear a open hat every now and then, maybe you've filtered them out to much with a low pass filter?

Werewolfrx responds:

just a simple love filter, didn't want the focus to be on the drums at all, in fact the drums was a last minute decisions, all I wanted to focus on was on the atmosphere.

great track man! Has lots of great interesting elements and that filtered bass is so clear in the mix

MadMath responds:

that is the first time someone appreciate my mix, ha ha. Thanks for the encouraging props, man :)

Some interesting synth work, however the mix lets it down, you need to put your reverbs on a bus channel and roll of the low end at about 200-300hZ with a high pass filter to get rid of some of that muddiness thats drowning out your kicks and basses
